AST Terminal Toolkit Privacy Policy
Publisher: Allstar Terminals LLC, 7250 Dallas Parkway, Suite 400, Plano, TX 75024. Effective 2026-10-20.
Summary
The extension keeps your work in your own browser. It has no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising. Nothing you enter is sent to Allstar Terminals or anyone else unless you choose to share it.
What the extension stores, and where
-
Projects you create: project names and locations, quote request details, checklist status and notes, serial numbers, support reports, and any contact details you choose to type in. Stored in Chrome's extension storage (
chrome.storage.local) on this computer, in this browser profile. - Your shortlist and compare list of catalog models. Same place.
- Text you look up with the right-click menu: the selected text (cut to 120 characters) is held in temporary session storage until the side panel reads it, then deleted. Session storage is cleared when the browser closes.
Local storage is not a cloud backup. Removing the extension or clearing browser data deletes it. Use Export to keep a copy.
What the extension does not do
- It does not read, collect or store your browsing history or the content of web pages. The right-click lookup receives only the text you select and right-click.
- It makes no network requests of its own and loads no remote code. The product catalog is bundled inside the extension.
- It does not use cookies, analytics, telemetry or tracking.
- It does not sell or transfer data, and does not use data for advertising, credit or lending decisions.
- It is not meant to hold payment card numbers, encryption keys or passwords, and warns you if text looks like one.
When data leaves your browser
Only when you take one of these actions:
- Email draft: opens a draft in your own email app, addressed to sales@allstarterminals.com (quote requests and accessory questions) or support@allstarterminals.com (support reports). The extension does not send it. You review and send it yourself.
- Open the Allstar quote form: copies your request to the clipboard and opens allstarterminals.com in a new tab. You paste and submit it yourself.
- Copy, download, export or print: puts the data on your clipboard, in a file you save, or on paper or PDF.
Once you send information to Allstar Terminals, the Allstar Terminals privacy policy applies to it.
Permissions
- storage: keep your projects in this browser.
- sidePanel: show the workspace in Chrome's side panel.
- contextMenus: add "Look up in AST Terminal Toolkit" to the right-click menu for selected text.
The extension requests no access to websites.
Deleting your data
Delete a project, or use Projects & data > Clear all data. Uninstalling the extension removes all of its storage.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version ships with the extension update and is posted at the published policy address, with the effective date updated.
