Allstar Terminals: terminal programming to your gateway or processor

Allstar programs terminals to your gateway or processor before they ship: the payment application, connection settings and parameters are loaded and tested, with keys added where needed. Named configurations on the live service page are Datacap (including DC Direct) and NMI. Programmed orders ship once configuration is complete, 2 to 3 business days from when the order is placed.

Ask Allstar AI about this guide

Check first

  • Which gateway or processor should the terminal be configured for?
  • Is it standalone, or integrated with a POS through Datacap, NMI or a processor semi-integration?
  • Does the deployment also need a PIN key or a data key loaded?
  • USB or Ethernet device? (The load differs between the two.)
  • Which model and how many units, and should they be blind drop-shipped?

This guide explains Allstar's terminal programming service: what gets loaded, what to send, and when programmed orders ship.

Programming, in plain language: a terminal has to be set up for the gateway or processor your merchant's system actually uses. Allstar loads the payment application, the connection settings and the parameters, adds encryption keys where the deployment needs them, and tests the device before it ships. Configurations named on the live service page are Datacap (including DC Direct) and NMI.

Before you start

  • Know the gateway or processor and whether the terminal is standalone or integrated with a POS.
  • Know whether the deployment also needs PIN or data keys.
  • Have the model, connection type (USB or Ethernet) and quantity ready.

Steps

  1. Send Allstar the gateway or processor, the integration type, the terminal model, connection type and quantity, plus any key set name, KSI or BIN number if keys are also needed. Email sales@allstarterminals.com or call 888-403-7066. Expected: Allstar confirms the configuration and quotes hardware plus programming.
  2. Prepay the quote by ACH, credit card or wire. Expected: The order is placed and the 2 to 3 business day clock starts.
  3. Allstar loads the application, connection settings and parameters on every unit, adds keys where needed, and tests each device so they all behave the same. Expected: Every unit in the order carries the same configuration.
  4. Allstar ships once configuration is complete, 2 to 3 business days from when the order was placed, to you or blind drop-shipped to your merchant. Expected: Terminals arrive ready for the gateway or processor you named.

If that did not work

If your gateway is not Datacap or NMI, ask sales whether the load is available before you order. Programming procedures and parameter values are handled by Allstar and are not provided to customers.

Stop and contact support if

  • A customer asks for processor parameter values, download passwords or the programming procedure itself: stop. Programming is performed by Allstar; route to sales@allstarterminals.com.
  • A customer expects same-day shipping on a programmed order: stop and correct to 2 to 3 business days from order.

Contact Allstar sales at 888-403-7066 or sales@allstarterminals.com with the gateway or processor, integration type, model, connection type and quantity.

Notes

  • Only Datacap (including DC Direct) and NMI are named as configurations on the live service page and guide (read 2026-10-23). Any other gateway or processor load: ask us before promising.
  • Programming is quoted per deployment; the only published price is an example ('Winstar ETH configuration, $125' on the live service page). Do not quote it as a general rate.
  • The live page does not state what the customer must supply beyond processor, model, quantity and key set details. Merchant ID, Terminal ID or gateway credentials needed for the load: ask us what to send.
  • Hours shown on the live service page (9:00 to 18:00 CST) are wrong; owner correction dated 2026-10-17 sets 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
