ID TECH VP7200 Smart NFC Reader with QR Code Scanner

The ID TECH VP7200 is a smart NFC payment reader with a built-in QR code scanner. In a 68 x 68 x 11.5 mm footprint it accepts contactless cards and mobile wallets, scans QR tickets and app codes, hosts its own payment application and can drive an external LCD. That makes it a strong fit for transit gates, parking systems, EV chargers and vending, where one small device has to do the work of several.

With open- and closed-loop payment support, IP65 and IK07 ratings and a -30°C to 70°C operating range, the VP7200 is built for curbside and outdoor installs. Optional LTE keeps it online where Ethernet is not available.

Does the VP7200 take chip or swipe cards?
No. It is a contactless-only reader for tap cards, phones and wearables, plus QR codes through its camera.

Is the VP7200 good for transit?
Yes. It supports transit kernels for Visa, Discover and Interac, UnionPay transit, MIFARE cards and closed-loop programs.

Does it need a network cable?
Not with the cellular model, which connects over LTE. The standard model connects over Ethernet, USB or serial.
