The SUNMI MINI AP is a palm-size wireless access point built on SUNMI Hyper Wi-Fi (802.11ah, Sub-1GHz). It extends coverage through walls and across large stores and warehouses so SUNMI terminals stay connected front and back of house. This is the FCC-certified version for North America. Merchants, ISOs and resellers add it to SUNMI deployments where standard Wi-Fi drops out.

Does the MINI AP work with any Wi-Fi device?

No. It uses SUNMI Hyper Wi-Fi (802.11ah). It works with SUNMI devices that support Hyper Wi-Fi, including supported 2nd gen desktops, kiosks and IoT products, and 3rd gen products where Hyper Wi-Fi is enabled.

How far does the SUNMI MINI AP reach?

SUNMI Lab measured up to 1km straight-line in open space and coverage of a 2,000 square meter store. Real range depends on the building.

How many devices can connect to one MINI AP?

Up to 64 terminals at once, per SUNMI. In Europe SUNMI recommends no more than 16 because of local radio rules.
