Check first
- Will the terminal use Ethernet or Wi-Fi?
- Does the screen show the SALE screen or the UPGRADE APP screen?
- Is a QD3 or QD5 PIN pad being connected to it?
To set up a Dejavoo QD4, plug in the 5 V 2 A adapter, connect the Ethernet cable after the terminal is on (or use Wi-Fi), load a 58 mm thermal roll, and check that DvPayLite opens the SALE screen. An UPGRADE APP screen means the terminal still needs its TPN downloaded.
Before you start
- The QD4 is Dejavoo's Android countertop terminal: 5.5 in touchscreen, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz), Ethernet, built-in 58 mm thermal printer, Android 12.
- Power: AC through the supplied 5 V 2 A adapter.
- It works with the QD3 and QD5 PIN pads using Dejavoo's "UU" cables.
- Terminals Allstar programs arrive with the TPN already downloaded, so steps 3 and 4 are usually not needed.
- For power off, reboot, charging and the meaning of the idle-screen icons, see the QD2/QD4 power and icons guide.
Steps
- Plug the 5 V 2 A adapter into the QD4 and an outlet. Expected: the QD4 powers on and opens the Dejavoo payment app.
- For Ethernet, power the terminal on first, then plug in the Ethernet cable. Expected: the Ethernet icon appears at the top right of DvPayLite.
- Only if your network needs a fixed address: DvPayLite > Ethernet icon > Configure > Ethernet > Setting Ethernet > Use static settings. Enter the IP address, gateway, subnet mask and DNS, then save. Expected: the terminal reconnects. If it asks for administrator credentials, stop and contact support.
- If you see UPGRADE APP: enter the TPN, tap Download App, enter the one-time passcode if asked, wait for Installing, please wait, and tap Yes to any settings update. Expected: the SALE screen opens.
- After portal changes: Favorites star > UPGRADE APP > check the TPN > Download Parameter. Expected: Parameter initialization completed successfully. Tap OK.
- Check the idle screen (blinking Wi-Fi icon = not connected, steady = connected). To restart, hold the side button and tap Reboot. Expected: the terminal is online and ready for a test sale.
If that did not work
- No Ethernet connection with a static IP: check the IP is on the same network as the gateway and not used by another device, the subnet mask and gateway match your network, and the cable is seated.
- Wi-Fi icon keeps blinking: Dejavoo does not publish QD4 Wi-Fi steps. Contact support with your network name and security type.
- Nothing prints: confirm the roll is 58 mm thermal paper. Contact support if the printer still does not feed.
Contact Allstar support with the model, serial number, payment application, processor and the exact message on screen.

Stop and contact support if
- The terminal asks for an administrator or manager password you do not have: stop and contact Allstar support or your provider.
- No TPN, or the download fails: contact Allstar support. Terminals Allstar programs arrive with the TPN already loaded.
- Any tamper or security alert on screen: stop, do not reboot repeatedly, contact Allstar support.

Notes
- Dejavoo publishes no QD4 paper-loading procedure, no roll-diameter figure and no QD4 Wi-Fi setup steps. Paper width comes from the flyer (58 mm printer).
- The 'power first, then Ethernet cable' order comes from Dejavoo's P Line Android guide; Dejavoo does not repeat it in a QD4-specific document.
- The static IP article names the QD4 and warns that some QD terminals need administrator credentials for Ethernet settings. The TPN article is written for Dejavoo terminals running DvPayLite in general; the QD4 flyer confirms the QD4 runs DvPayLite.
- The iPOSpays QD4 page lists TSYS as the supported processor; the processor your QD4 uses is set when it is programmed.
