Check first

  • Is the Wi-Fi icon blinking (not connected) or steady (connected)?
  • Is the terminal on the adapter, and does the battery indicator show it is charging?
  • Is this a QD2 (battery, Wi-Fi/4G) or a QD4 (countertop, Wi-Fi/Ethernet)?

This guide covers the basics for a Dejavoo QD2 (wireless) or QD4 (countertop) Android terminal running Dejavoo's DvPay (Aura) software: reading the idle-screen icons, charging, and powering off or rebooting. Dejavoo does not publish Wi-Fi or 4G setup steps for the QD line; if the unit will not connect, contact Allstar support.

Before you start

  • Use the 5 V 2 A adapter that came with the terminal.
  • The QD2 has a battery (7.4 V, 2600 mAh) and connects over Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz or 4G/LTE. The QD4 is powered from the adapter and connects over dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz) or Ethernet.
  • Manager functions (returns, voids, reports, settlement) prompt for a manager password set by your provider. Allstar support can help if you do not have it.

Steps

  1. Read the idle screen: payment icons, the Favorites (star) icon, the Core menu icon and the Call Me icon. The Wi-Fi icon blinks when not connected and is steady when connected. The battery indicator shows charge level. Expected: you know whether the terminal is online and charged.
  2. To charge, connect the 5 V 2 A adapter. The QD2 also charges over USB; the QD4 runs on AC through the adapter and accepts DC charging. Expected: the QD2 battery indicator shows charging; the QD4 powers on.
  3. To power off or reboot, press and hold the side button until a menu with Power off, Reboot, Airplane Mode and Silent Mode appears. Expected: the menu is on screen.
  4. Tap Power off or Reboot. Expected: the terminal shuts down or restarts; after a restart the Wi-Fi icon goes steady once it reconnects.
  5. For Ethernet on the QD4, plug the terminal into power first, then connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port. Expected: the terminal uses the wired connection.

If that did not work

  • Wi-Fi icon still blinking after a reboot: confirm the router is up and other devices connect, then contact Allstar support for the network steps for your software version.
  • QD2 will not charge: try the supplied adapter in a different outlet and check the USB cable. If the battery still does not charge, contact Allstar support.
  • Frozen screen and the power menu does not appear: contact Allstar support.

Stop and contact support if

  • The terminal asks for a manager password you do not have: stop and contact Allstar support. Do not guess.
  • The Wi-Fi icon keeps blinking after a reboot on a known-good network: contact Allstar support for the network setup steps for your software version.
  • Battery swollen, hot, or the QD2 will not hold a charge: stop using it and contact Allstar support.
  • Any tamper or security alert: stop and contact Allstar support.

Contact Allstar support with the model (QD2 or QD4), serial number, your processor, whether the unit is on Wi-Fi, 4G or Ethernet, and the exact message on screen.

Notes

  • Dejavoo publishes no QD-specific Wi-Fi or 4G setup steps. The quick reference guides only describe the Wi-Fi icon. Network configuration for a QD terminal depends on the DvPay/Aura software version and is routed to Allstar support.
  • The Ethernet step comes from Dejavoo's P Line (Android) quick reference guide, not a QD4 document; the QD4 product page confirms it has Ethernet.
  • QD2 battery is listed as 7.4 V, 2600 mAh on the Dejavoo flyer. No charge time or runtime is published.
  • The quick reference guides reference a default manager password; it is intentionally not reproduced here.
